Borderlands is a major programme of creative growth in Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland. The project will focus on significantly increasing the number of local people taking part in cultural activity as well as embedding culture as a part of the area’s approach to health, resilience, heritage, education, environment, place-shaping, and meaningful work. Borderlands also has a particular focus on place, heritage and the environment.

Community is at the heart of everything we do, and our programme is led by you. Whether you want to see more local music events, craft workshops, art exhibitions or food markets, get in touch with us and we can make it happen. Our programme of events is constantly growing and we need your help to make it the best it can possibly be.
